Sunyani (B/A) April 5, GNA - Mr. Emmanuel Kwasi Afranie, former head coach of Accra Great Olympics Football Club has signed a one-year contract with the current gala lords, Brong-Ahafo United Football Club.
Mr. George Arthur, Chief Executive Officer of B.A. United confirmed an earlier rumour in soccer circles in Sunyani in an answer to a question on a BAR FM Radio Sports phone-in programme at the weekend.
Mr. Arthur, popularly called "King George" by his admirers added that coach Afranie's appointment had got the nod from the Board of Directors of the club, but added that the coach's performance would determine his continued stay with the club.
Meanwhile, B.A. United under coach Afranie's supervision was held to a pulsating 1-1 drawn game by visiting Real Tamale United Football Club in a friendly match played at the Sunyani Coronation at the weekend.
