Black Stars defender, Samuel Inkoom remains focused on the current job at Greece Super League side, Platanias despite apparent interest in his services http://http://allsports.com.gh/2014/02/07/samuel-inkoom-enjoying-life-in-greece-with-platanias/ by English Premier League side, West Ham, French Ligue 1 giants, Olympique Lyonnais and even Greece champions, Olympiakos Piraeus.

“I am aware of the numerous [transfer] speculations, but I must confess that I am not getting carried away with all those stories. It feels good to know about the interest shown by other clubs, but at the moment the most important thing is to maintain the good momentum I have here (Platanias) and see what happens during the summer break,” Inkoom told the 90 MINUTES newspaper over the weekend.

The former FC Basel star is back enjoying regular football following 18 months of frustration by Juande Ramos at Ukrainian side, Dnipro. The 24 year old wing back was again in action for all 90 minutes as Platanias romped to a 2-1 victory over Aris on Sunday afternoon for three priceless points in the Greece top flight. It's game number eight in a row that Inkoom has started for Platanias since making the loan switch in January.

His performances have not gone unnoticed with clubs in England, France and even Greece keen. Lyon scouts were reportedly at the Karaiskakis Stadium when Platanias played as guests to Olympiakos a fortnight ago amidst their interest in signing the FIFA U-20 World Cup winner. West Ham and Olympiakos have also asked about the player whose contract at Dnipro expires at the end of 2014.

But Inkoom has shrugged aside all transfer rumours and speculations about his next move, insisting his main objective at this point in time is to do well with Platanias. The player's agent, Christian Emile has also said his client is happy to be playing regularly again, but nevertheless hinted that the Ghanaian ace could be on his way out this summer with numerous clubs all showing interest.

“Samuel is enjoying his time at Platanias, he is playing regular football at a good club,” agent Christian Emile told Sky Sports.

He added: “European clubs are already watching and monitoring his situation, as they know that after the World Cup he will only have six months remaining on his contract with Dnipro. So let's wait and see what happens.”

Inkoom will play for Ghana at the World Cup and will talk to clubs after the tournament, with Werder Bremen, who have tracked him in the past also said to be still interested in the former Asante Kotoko defender.
