Samuel Adade is confident Medeama can progress to the group phase of the Champions League, regardless of who they face in the qualifying stages.

The Ghanaian side recorded an impressive 4-1 aggregate win over Equatorial Guinean side Panthers FC to progress to the next stage of the competition.

The Mauve and Yellows will beet Moroccan side MAS Fez in the next stage and the right-back believes the club can break new ground in Africa this season.

“We've qualified to the next stage and hopefully we can go further,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com

“I think we have an excellent squad to progress in the Confederations Cup but we know that it will be difficult.

“Our next opponent is a very strong side but we can to break new ground on the continent.

“We'll do our best to progress further and make our fans and Ghanaians happy.”

MAS Fez won the CAF Confederation Cup in 2011 after beating Club Africain.
