Waris joined struggling Valenciennes during the January transfer window and has been assertive
The on-loan Spartak Moscow striker has scored two goals in seven appearances
Mensah is amazed it took the former Swedish top-flight top scorer very little time to adjust to the change in clubs.
“I want to offer a special mention to my national team mate Abdul Majeed Waris who has been amongst the goals lately,” Mensah said.
“It's great to see him adapt to the Ligue 1 so quickly at Valenciennes and I am sure this will benefit Ghana when he is called upon.”
Both Mensah and Waris are sure bets to make Ghana's final World Cup squad.
