Accra, March 26, GNA - Barely 48 hours after defeating Kumasi Asante Kotoko, African Sports from Cote D'Voire on Friday forced a bitter pill down the throat of Accra Hearts of Oak when they stunned them with a 3-1 win in an international friendly football match at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The visitors benefited from scrappy defending from the highly rated Hearts defence to register one goal in the first half and two in the second half through Kone, skipper Dagbei and substitute Ouedzaogo respectively.

The goal-shy Phobians incurred the wrath of their fans with their goal squandering spree that failed to get them the needed goals as well as their non profitable soccer which lacked little precision upfront. The visitors exposed the Hearts defence on the few occasions they surged upfront whilst dictating the pace at the middle where Adjah Tetteh and Francis Bossman had difficulty controlling and distributing accurate passes.

Many were the fans whose hopes were raised when Emmanuel Osei Kuffour reacted with the equalizer for Hearts after the visitors had taken the lead earlier in the game.

But the fans expectation were not to be as the Ablade Morgan-led attack messed up all the chances that fell their way as against their opponents who took all the decent chances that came their way. The Hearts comedy of error in front of goal, a replica of their performance against Stade d' Malien of Mali last Sunday was the platform for arguments among their vociferous fans after the game especially with regard to the fitness of the team.
