Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng was influential for Schalke 04 in their comfortable 2-0 win over Herth Berlin in the German Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon.
The 26-year-old lasted till the 87th minute before he was replaced by Brazilian midfielder Felipe Santana.
Hungarian Adam Szalai netetd the opener for Schalke at the Olympiastadion Berlin before Julian Draxler scored within second-half stoppage-time to cement the victory.
Boateng was making an emotional return to his hometown in Berlin where he also started his career with the Saturday opposition.
