Ghana midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei is determined to regain his regular first team place at TP Mazembe.

The 25-year-old appears to have fallen out of favour with coach Patrice Cateron.

Nii Adjei has had limited first team opportunities since the appointment of the Frenchman in May.

The former Ghana Premier League MVP has since struggled for regular games with the Congolese giants.

Nii Adjei's lack of regular game time has sparked reports he could be set to return to the Ghanaian top flight where he has been linked to rejoining Asante Kotoko.

But the Ghana international who insists he is fully focused on his work at TP Mazembe says he is determined to win back his regular first team spot.

“I wouldn't know why I am not playing regularly because the coach has his own programs and plans towards games,” he told Metro FM.

“In life, you wouldn't always have it going for you and during those times you have to stick it in and fight to regain your place.”
