Ghana midfield star Kevin-Prince Boateng has returned to training with his Italian side AC Milan after recovering from a thigh injury, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The refreshing news means he will be fit for Wednesday's second-leg of the Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven in Milan on Wednesday.

The news is also massive boost for Ghana as Boateng will be fit to face Zambia in Ghana's all-important 2014 World Cup qualifier in early September.

The 26-year-old missed Milan's shocking 2-1 defeat in their season opener against Verona because of a thigh problem.

But he returned to training with the first team on Sunday as they prepare to face PSV at home following the 1-1 draw in the first leg last week.

Boateng suffered a thigh injury last week that sparked fears among Ghanaians that he could miss the match against Zambia.

But with the news of his recovery it means Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is set to name him in his squad to face Zambia on 6 September.

Boateng made himself available for Ghana last week Thursday after a two-year self-imposed exile.
