Ghana will host Zambia on September 6

Ex-Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey has cautioned  the Black Stars to be wary of a 'dangerous' Zambian side ahead of their 2014 World Cup group decider in September.

The two teams will clash at Ghana's second largest capital, Kumasi on September 6 in a hugely-anticipated contest.

The Black Stars must avoid defeat against the Chipolopolo to advance to the play-offs while their opponent must grind out a win to book a seat at the final qualifying round.

Both teams have kept their cards close to their chest even though Zambia have engaged in psychological battle ahead of the crunch tie at the Baba Yara stadium.

Ex-Black Stars coach Claude Leroy has tipped Herve Renard's men to silence the West Africans at their own backyard and the ex-international has warned the team to be cautious against a solid Zambian side.

“As a footballer this is one such matches that you want to play. I'm sure the players know that,” Lamptey said

“We have to be cautious. No complaceny. We have all the names but our little problem in the team is that we are unable to run.

“We have the potential but we must run a bit against a dangerous Zambian side.We should not make a mistake because our opponent won't come cheap.

“They (Zambia) do not have the quality, skills, materials that we have but they are a dangerous side.

“But I'm confident we can come to the party on September 6.”

The two teams will assemble a crack side ahead of their meeting next month with an eye for Brazil 2014 top of the agenda.
