Ghana Fa Will Not Relax Their Stand On 'rebelled' Black Stars Players

Andre and Jordan Ayew yet to write to Ghana FA to make Black Stars return

The Ghana FA says it will not settle on a compromise in the mode used to recall 'rebelled' players back into the Black Stars.

Ghana is currently without three key players ahead of their crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Zambia.

The Ghana FA is still expecting letters from Andre, Jordan Ayew and Kevin-Prince Boateng to rescind their decisions to either quit the national team temporarily or on a permanent basis.

Sulley Muntari is also again in the bad books following a reported disrespectful dressing room confrontation with coach Akwasi Appiah in Ghana's win over Lesotho in the last round of World Cup qualifiers.

The AC Milan star has been asked to apologize in order to return to the team.

The main issue is however with Boateng and the Ayews of which the Ghana FA says they will not be welcomed back to the Black Stars unless the put their decision to return in writing.

“Officially yes, it is the position of the Ghana Football Association that when you leave the national team normally it is in a written form which is by way of a letter,” GFA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie-Daara told Accra-based Montie FM.

“Therefore when coming back, the same mode of communication should be applied.

“This is so because the clubs these players play for are also made aware of these decisions.

“The Ghana FA however will have nothing to stand on to make a case against these clubs when inviting these players back.

“It is very important for the purposes of also preserving our reputation on the international scene so there is no compromise here.”

These four players were left out of the latest Ghana squad that will be playing Turkey in an international friendly on Wednesday.
