Our attention has been drawn to a news report claiming that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has dropped African Origin Travel and Tours as the travel agency sending supporters to the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Turkey next month.
We wish to state emphatically that there is no truth in the report.
The GFA does not select travel agencies to send supporters to international tournaments to support the country during competitions.
The GFA only recommends reputable travel agencies in the country to the embassies to facilitate visa acquisition for supporters.
The report claimed that the GFA is unhappy with African Origin Travel and Tours because of the 'poor services rendered' during the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
This claim is untrue because the GFA did not send supporters to the tournament therefore could not have appointed African Origin Travel and Tours to send supporters to the tournament in South Africa.
The GFA has no problems with African Origin Travel and Tours sending supporters to the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Turkey next month and any other tournaments.
