B.A. Stars declared losers and fined GH¢2,500
Brong Ahafo Stars have been declared losers by the Disciplinary Committee of the GFA after discontinuing play during a a Division One League game with B.A. United.
Players of Brong Ahafo Stars after conceding a goal were directed by their C.E.O., Mr. Elias Hazakawa to walk off the field.
After failing to return to continue play, the Referee to called off the match.
The D.C also handed out bans, 12-month apiece to two players, namely, Yaw Preko and Ebenezer Tawiah, who were asked by the club to feign injury, bandaged parts of their bodies and posed for a picture to be taken of them which pictures have been submitted to this committee to paint a picture that they suffered injuries and were rushed to the hospital.

Guilty parties: Brong Ahafo Stars FC, Yaw Preko and Ebenezer Tawiah
Decision:
(l) That the conduct or act exhibited by B. A. Stars amounted to walking off the field of play and/or refusal to continue with play in contravention of article 34 (1) (a) and (b) of the Regulations.
Consequently, B. A. Stars shall be declared losers of the match in question and accordingly 3 points shall be deducted from their accumulated points whilst B. A. United shall be credited with 3 goals and 3 points in accordance with article 34 (2) and (5)a of the Regulations.
Again, B. A. Stars shall pay a fine of GH¢2,500.00 of which fifty percent (50%) shall go to B. A. United (refer article 34 (5)a of the regulations).
We deeply regret to say that Yaw Preko and Ebenezer Tawiah both of B. A. Stars have made themselves available to be used as a willing tool for the unsuccessful attempt by the club to perpetuate football fraud on the football fraternity as a whole. This conduct is unacceptable in Association Football and these players shall be punished to serve as deterrent to like-minded people in the football business. Both players, and for the avoidance of doubt, namely; YAW PREKO and EBENEZER TAWIAH who featured in the match in question for B. A. Stars in jersey Nos. 5 and 6 respectively are hereby banned from taking part in all GFA sanctioned matches for 12 months.
