
One person has been shot dead during a shootout involving land surveyors and some unidentified persons in Dodowa.
The clashes erupted as a result of a land dispute land.
In an interview with Citi News one of the injured persons, Kennedy Ashon receiving treatment at the Tema General Hospital explained that they were four surveyors working on the land when they got attacked by unidentified men.
According to him, after surveying the land, they went ahead to set their track pot 'when all of a sudden we heard a shot and then we all scattered.'
Three persons were seriously injured in the attack.
Meanwhile, the police have indicated that they are investigating the matter.
According to the Divisional Police Commander for Ashaiman, Chief Superintendant David Eklu they have not made 'any arrest but the perpetrators will be brought to book' when they are arrested.
He indicated that they have been 'able to maintain police presence there since last night' and they will continue with investigations.
