Asante Kotoko have slipped from the top of the Glo Premier League log after drawing 1-1 with Aduana Stars at the Coronation Park on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors had striker Kofi Nti Boakye to thank after he gave them the equaliser that canceled out Aduana's lead by Godfred Saka.
Kotoko are now second and two points behind leaders, Berekum Chelsea who defeated fellow title contenders, Medeama 3-0 at the Golden City Park.
And with three more matches to end the season, the coming weeks will prove even more crucial for the Porcupine Warriors as they attempt to successfully defend the title they won last season.
Kotoko have some tricky fixtures to navigate with an away clash against relegation-threatened Heart of Lions, a home game with AshantiGold to follow and a final match with Amidaus Professionals to play.
