Afcon U17: Ghana and Congo are in the race for the semis

Everything is revived in the group B of the Afcon U17. The second day of group matches played on Wednesday reshuffled the cards. Nigeria has fallen notably from the euphoria of its brilliant victory against Ghana 6-1 in the opening.

Blame to the catchy Elephants to the end and eventually winning 1-0 at the last minutes of the match.

In the second match, Congo and Ghana clung 1-1. From the third minute, the Red Devils found the way by Kader Georges Bidimbou . An advantage that is not going to break because at the 37th, Yaw Yeboah restored the parity.

The table in this group gives the leadership to Ivory Coast  with 4 points, followed by Nigeria with 3 points. Congo (2 pts) and Ghana (1 pts) can still hope to reach the last four. The competition takes a break on Thursday.

Friday, the last day in Group A has already delivered its verdict. Morocco and Tunisia, already qualified to compete. On the other hand, Gabon and Botswana play for honor.

In Group B Saturday, Nigeria will have to beat Congo, while Ghana will seek its first victory against Ivory Coast.
