Mubarak Wakaso will be sidelined for a few days because of a sore knee, says Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah.
The midfielder picked up the injury during Ghana's 1-0 victory over Mali but is also suspended for Monday's final Group B match against Niger after he picked up a second booking when celebrating his successful penalty kick over Mali.
"He will be out for a few days after an MRI scan revealed he suffered a sore knee," said the Black Stars coach on Saturday.
"Fortunately, the scan showed he did not damage any ligaments."
Meanwhile captain Asamoah Gyan returned to training on Saturday a day after he was rested due to a precautionary measure.
The striker will be available for the Niger match.
