AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has been banned for one match for arguing with the referee's decisions during his side's 2-1 loss to Udinese.

The Rossoneri boss will now join Kevin Prince-Boateng and Cristian Zapata in the stands, after both players were sent off in the loss at Stadio Friuli.

All three will now miss the upcoming match against Cagliari at San Siro on Wednesday.

The 45-year-old does not think that he should have earned a suspension since, in his opinion, he was merely pointing out the refereeing mistakes in a technical way.

"I'm surprised," the coach began in a phone interview with Sky Sport 24.

"I questioned the referee but I never said a bad word or an insult."

Milan have already announced that they will appeal the decision as they to hope have Allegri on the bench for Wednesday night's match.

The loss to Udinese was last season's Serie A runners-up's third defeat in four games.
