
Accra, Sep. 20, GNA- Ghana's Black Queens have been drawn against Benin and Senegal in Group B of the maiden edition of the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Zone 'B' Women's Championship.
The six-team tournament, which has hosts Cote d'Ivoire, Liberia and Mali in Group A will take place in the Ivorian capital, Abidjan, from September 29 to October 7, 2012.
Information gathered by GNA Sports from the secretariat of the zonal body in Abidjan has it that the Queens will open their campaign against Senegal on September 30 at the Robert Champroux Stadium before squaring Benin two days later at the same venue.
The top two teams in each group will advance to the semi finals with the eventual winners progressing to the final.
The tournament which has suffered several deferrals in recent past is geared towards developing women's football in the zone.
