Chinese FA move Ghana friendly from Beijing

The Chinese Football Association has changed the venue of Ghana's friendly from Beijing. The August 15 game will now be played in the northern state of Xi'an, SuperSport.com understands.

Although not confirmed by the Ghana FA, reports indicate that the northern city capital will host the friendly at the Shaanshi Provincial Stadium, a new facility. Checks at the Ghana Football Association revealed that the body is unaware of the switch, which was announced on the Chinese FA's website four days ago.

Ghana will use the friendly as a warm-up for the impending African Cup qualifier with Malawi in September and October. The expected team of Kwesi Appiah is similar to that which SuperSport.com reported on July 22.
