Ho, Sept. 12, GNA - Eastern Region on Friday defeated Volta Region 3-1 on penalties in their re-scheduled second match in the on-going 23rd Inter-Regional Schools and Colleges Sports Festival in Ho.
Gull time scores were nil-nil. Their first match last Thursday was cancelled due to crowd rowdyism that endangered match officials. Volta who started the festival on good note, defeated Upper West 2-1 in their first match before losing to Eastern.
Mr Emmanuel Galley, coach of the Volta team told the GNA Sports that he will lodge a protest on the ban on their caption Robert Agbeko. According to Mr Galley, the red card should have been cancelled in view of the first match being nullified.
