PFAG LEADERSHIP Meets Black Stars

The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has offered its unflinching support to the Black Stars ahead of two crucial 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

"On behalf of the PFAG, I want to wish you the best of luck in the upcoming two matches against Lesotho and Zambia," PFAG General Secretary Anthony Baffoe said.

Baffoe met with the playing body before practice on Friday and charged them to represent the nation fearlessly.

"Don't forget you are Ghana, you are the Black Stars, you are not scared of anybody and I'm hundred percent sure that you are going to make it."

He finally urged them to be united and to solve any problems in house and not in the press.

"It is very important that we all stick together closely and that you are all behind the new technical team especially the newly appointed coach," he said.

Coach Kwesi Appiah thanked the Association for its support and said the players should in their own small way contribute to the growth of the body.

The PFAG is made up of current players like Michael Essien and Stephen Appiah as well as celebrated former players like Abedi Pele, Anthony Yeboah, Kwame Ayew, Samuel Kuffuor, Marcel Desailly and Augustine Ahinful to name a few.
