Currently pitching camp at the First Choice Hotel in Accra, DAILY GUIDE SPORTS checks revealed an injury-free squad which trains two times a day at the Tennis Court of the Accra Sports Stadium.
After a steamy training session yesterday, captain of the side Alice Gli noted, 'We are well composed and preparing for the challenge ahead.
'We are peaking in performance by the day, and hoping to translate it when the competition starts. Thankfully, we don't have any injury situation.'
She gave the assurance of emerging as the ultimate winners in the upcoming championship, considering the level of preparation.
She asked for a gymnasium for the sport, saying, 'A modern gymnasium that will have a place for handball will push us to greater heights. We need it as a matter of urgency because when we are training and the rains set in, we have to stop.'
The Challenge Cup, which will begin from May 27 to June 2, will see countries like Cote d'Ivoire, Liberia, Nigeria, Togo, Burkina Faso, Benin Niger and Ghana battling for honours.
