Debutants, Berekum Chelsea have sealed their place in the group stage of the African Champions League after eliminating Coton Sport on Sunday.
The former Ghanaian champions won 2-1 in Garoua after both sides drew goalless in the first leg a fortnight ago.
Striker Emmanuel Clottey and captain Abdul Basit scored for Chelsea as a Coton Sport pulled one back in between both goals.
Chelsea's progress in the competition makes up for a disappointing run in the domestic Ghanaian league where they failed to successfully defend their title.
For reaching the mini-league phase, Chelsea will be guaranteed $400,000 prize money while Coton Sport will be given a second chance in the Confederation Cup.
