SPORTING ACTIVITIES, particularly table tennis, have received a great boost at the Prempeh College in Kumasi, DAILY GUIDE SPOR TS can state.

The school authorities have taken delivery of a brand new Olympic size table tennis board and its accessories to help promote the sport on campus.

The table tennis board is valued at $2,000 and it was presented by an old boy of the school, Mawuko Afadzinu, Head of Marketing, Stanbic Bank.

Afadzinu said the Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA), of which he is the vice president and Stanbic Bank, supported him to make the presentation possible.

He was hopeful the presentation would help attract more students of Prempeh College into the sport which he described as very good for human beings.

Afadzinu, who was supported by the Prempeh College 1982 group, during the presentation ceremony, said the presentation was to rekindle the school's tradition when it came to table tennis.

According to him, table tennis as a sport was very useful for mankind because the sport promoted focus, balance and attention- qualities that human beings needed to develop in life.
