Accra, April 28, GNA – Tudu Mighty Jets boosted their chances of surviving the elite division after a 2-1 win over Ebusua Dwarfs in their Week 26 clash on Saturday at the Sly Tetteh Stadium, Dansoman.

A first half brace from leading marksan Sidi Abubakar handed the premiership strugglers the maximum points and further worsen the plight of the Ebusua Dwarfs who were playing away from home due to a 12-match ban for assaulting a match official.

The result, the first away win for Mighty Jets did not that easy as their hosts handed them a good run their monies worth.

After a balanced opening, Sidi broke the deadlock on the half-hour by firing past onrushing Ebusua Dwarfs goalie Ernest Boateng after captain Yahaya Mubarak had put him through.

Mighty Jets' speedster Nayaro Alhassan served a tall mountain for the hosts with his runs on the right flanks.

On 40 minutes, Sidi doubled the lead with a spectacular volley from a Benjamin Eli Agbeko pass, which left Dwarfs goalie Boateng with no option.

Dwarfs were the better side in the second but failed to convert their dominance into goals whilst Boateng was to their rescue when it mattered most.

On 80 minutes, the Dwarfs goalkeeper scored full points by saving Agbeko's point blank shot from close range, before the crossbar robbed Sidi off his first ever hat-trick in the premiership seven minuts later.

The homers managed to grab a consolation on the stroke of full time through substitute Prince Appiah who connected in from Kwame Frimpong's free-kick.

The consolation came late as it was the last action of the game as Mighty Jets cruised to a famous victory.
