Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu has done a remarkable job with Kotoko this season and the Porcupine Warriors are just a win away from being crowned champions of this season's league.

Kotoko stretched their lead to 14 points with a 2-0 win over Mighty Jets in Accra last Saturday. The Porcupine Warriors host Berekum Arsenal in Kumasi on Sunday and a win would mean, winning the GLO premier league title with four matches to spare.

Mighty Jets slipped into the bottom three and will come out fighting as the threat of relegation looms with five matches to end the season.

Mighty Jets boss Jonas Amissah fears relegation would wreck his plans for his young team.

“If you look at what is happening, it will be difficult to avoid relegation. We're in a serious situation and I'm afraid it may require a miracle to save the situation”. He told JOY Sports

Hearts of Oak fell 15 points behind Kotoko following a poor display against Ebusua Dwarfs at the Accra Sports Stadium yesterday.

WA All Stars drew 1-1 with Berekum Arsenal at the Golden City Park. Heart of Lions is having a season to forget with their 10th defeat of the season in a 3-0 loss to Aduana Stars at the Kpando Park.

Heart of Lions are just 5 points from the relegation zone and another defeat could worsen things.

Chelsea surprisingly lost 3-1 to Tema Youth at the Tema Park and Emmanuel Baffoe scored a spectacular free kick for his 20th league goal in just 22 matches this season but that was not enough because New Edubease lost 2-1 to Wassaman.
