The Shield Soccer Clinic has been gaining popularity since its inception and audience are thrilled by the presentations so far by host of the programme, Marcel Desailly.
Desailly, an iconic soccer figure last Sunday continued from with episode 1 which began with ball control, and continued with shooting.
In last Sunday’s episode, Desailly continued with shooting and shed light on how to improve shooting and ; emphasized on accuracy and power as well as the positioning of players on the field.
“Shooting is an attitude which requires confidence and positive mentality. The ability to change speed, move with quick feet help to create space and penetration. The player must maintain the ball, shield it to avoid tackle,” Desailly told his audience..
The former France captain added : “Before a player can shoot accurately, he must concentrate on the ball, with the right body coordination and composure bearing in mind accuracy before applying power to shoot.”
The soccer clinic, being organised by Shield Acrylic Paints and Lizzy Sports Complex is aired on Metro TV at 2.30 PM, 5.50pm on Viasat 1 every Sunday and on GTV at 8.00PM Fridays.
