Ho, July 27 - GNA- Ho Voradep Football Club on Sunday beat visiting Akwatia Deelorm Stars by a lone goal in their Division One League (DOL) match played at the Ho Sports Stadium.
The goal was scored in the 55th minute by Patrick Ganaku when he delivered a non-drop volley from a Stephen Attipoe pass to beat advancing Star's goalie Mallam Osmanu.
Voradep's Bessa Emmanuel could have increased the tally for his side but his goal bound shots were beautifully saved by Osmanu in the 70th and 84th minutes respectively to the applause of the few spectators. Deelorm's Bright Agyare, Kwabena Boateng and Bernard Odai were unsuccessful in redeeming the deficit as their attempts at goal were either feebly struck or directed wide, as a result of the sogginess of the pitch, until referee Albert Nelson of Tema brought proceedings to a close.
