Tema, July 27, GNA - Carl Maxwell Brew-Aidoo and Jane Simms became the proud winners of the Celebrity Golf Club July Monthly Medal competition played at the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono, near Tema on Saturday.
Brew-Aidoo returned 68 net while Jane had a net score of 66 to win the Men's and Ladies events respectively. Emile Ksayer took the second position with 69 net, while Isaac Osei-Bonsu placed third with 73 net beating Francis Quartey on count back.
Mary Asafo-Adjaye came second in the Ladies event, and Grace Komladzei took the third position with 80 net. The Nearest to the Pin on Hole Nine was won by Mary Asafo-Adjaye ,while Francis Quartey won the Longest Drive. The club sponsored the one-day 18-hole competition, which attracted more than 100 participants. Mr Joe Ohemeng, Competition Secretary of the Celebrity Golf Club, called on members to take active interest in the club's activities.
