Asamoah Gyan, Jordan score on return from AFCON

Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan scored on his return for Al-Ain in their 2-0 win over ten-man FC Dubai on Wednesday.

The striker grabbed the winner for the leaders to open a five-point lead at the top. Gyan struck in the 62nd minute after Argentine forward Ignacio Scocco had put Al-Ain into the lead on 21 minutes.

Jordan Ayew returned from international duty to find his scoring touch for Olympique Marseille in their 3-1 over amateur side Bourg-Peronnas in the French Cup on Wednesday. The win puts Marseille into the quarterfinals of the competition.

The Ghana youngster, who had been on international duty at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations came off the bench to score the third goal from a low drive in the 54th minute after Brandao had hit a brace. Ousmane Diaby scored a consolation goal for Bourg-Peronnas in the 78th.
