Ghanaian defender Harrison Afful is disappointed at his inability to honour Coach Goran Stevanovic's invite to the Black Stars due to an injury he is nursing.
The Black Stars will play an international friendly with Chile in the United States of America on February 29 without Harrison Afful who was initially excluded from the squad for the just ended Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
Harrison Afful who has been waiting for this opportunity unfortunately will not be able to honour the invitation due to a knee injury he sustained during a friendly at his club side Esperance last week.
“I was very happy when I got the invite but unfortunately will not be able to join the team due to my injury”. He told JOY Sports
“There is a purpose for everything that happens so I will now concentrate on getting better for future call ups”.
Harrison Afful is expected to be out of action for three weeks after undergoing surgery on his knee.
