Captains Golf Tourney Hits Kumasi

The 2011 Annual Captain's Prize Golf Tournament will take place on the greens of the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi this Saturday.

Being hosted by Kwesi Appiah, Captain of the Royal Golf Club, the one day event would see the crème de la crème in golf taking part.

Mr. Appiah who is the youngest golf club captain in the country, said golfers across the country would play in the event.

According to him, astute golfers from Celebrity, Achimota, Obuasi, Kumasi and other mining areas would grace the occasion.

At stake, he announced, are attractive prizes including giant trophies and complimentary hotel packages. 

Mr. Appiah said lunch and dinner packages would also be given to golfers that would excel on the day. 

Among corporate institutions making the tournament possible are Interplast Limited and Beige Village Golf Resort. 

Other sponsors are Golden Tulip, Kumasi City, as well as support from members of the Royal Golf Club just to mention a few. 

Mr. Appiah announced that barbecue would be available at the Royal Golf Club during the tournament.
