Ayew, Acosty, and Acheampong score as Ghanaians thrill in Europe

 FRANCE
Andre Ayew headed home the third goal for Marseille who cruised to a 3-0 victory over big-spending PSG. His brother Jordan came off the bench to set up Marseille's second goal.

Caen dropped further on the Ligue 1 log after suffering a 2-0 reverse at Bordeaux. On loan Lille full-back Jerry Vandam lasted the entire match for Caen.

Ten-man Stade Rennes came from behind to comprehensively beat Evian Thonon Gaillard 3-2 at the Stade de la Route de Lorient. Ghana defender John Boye who has returned to full fitness watched the game from stands. Midfielder Rabiu Mohammed watched the entire action from the Evian bench. Defender Jonathan Mensah did not make the trip with Evian despite recovering from injury.

Ghana captain John Mensah remained out of the Lyon first team over the weekend as they beat Auxerre 3-0.

In the Ligue 2, Nantes deepened the woes of Monaco by condemning the to a 3-0 defeat. Dennis Appiah lost his place in the Monaco first team for the trip.

Speedster Haminu Dramani was left out of the Arles Avignon squad when they recorded a 4-1 loss at Tours.

Moussa Narry kept his place in the Le Mans line up but could not help them avoid a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Lens.

In the reserves league, Kamal Issah played the entire match for Stade Rennes who won 1-0 against Sablo on home grounds.

Udinese recovered from last weekend"s defeat at Parma to beat AS Roma 2-0 at the Stadio Friuli on Friday. While Kwadwo Asamoah was playing full throttle, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu was warming the Udinese bench.

Afriyie Acquah played full throttle for Palermo who brushed aside Fiorentina 2-0 at the Stadio Renzo Barbera. Striker Amidu Salifu warmed the Fiorentina bench.

In the Serie B, ten-man Sassuolo slipped to a 1-0 home loss to Padova. Ghana junior international striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom was introduced just a minute to full time but compatriot Isaac Cofie played the full 90 minutes.

Sulley Muntari could not recover in time for Inter Milan's 1-0 victory at Siena.

Kevin-Prince Boateng set up the goal for AC Milan as they thumped Chievo Verona 4-0 at theSan Siro. He was replaced just after the hour mark.

Midfielder Yaw Asante missed out of Grosseto's first team squad when they recorded a 3-0 defeat to Juve Stabia on home grounds.

Whizkid Mase Nana Addo Welbeck played with Brescia's primavera squad over the weekend as they suffered a 3-1 home loss to AlbinoLeffe.

In the Primavera League, goalkeeper Karim Mumuni kept the post for Coriano who went past Romagna 4-2.

Elsewhere, striker Maxwell Boadu Acosty scored his 9th goal in eight games as he scored the consolation for Fiorentina in a 3-1 loss to Livorno. Daniel Kofi Agyei captained the team while Nii Nortey Ashong played 90 minutes.

Alfred Joseph Duncan played 80 minutes for Inter Milan who won 1-0 at Padova.

Bright Addae and Godfred Adolf played the full 90 minutes to help Parma beat Novara 3-1.

Arsenal dropped their first points in eight games after drawing 1-1 with Fulham at the Emirates Stadium. Young midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong continued his bench warming exercise for Arsenal as he watched the entire game from the bench.
