Week 8 of the CAL Bank Beach Soccer Premier League provided exciting matches with a flurry of goals.

League leaders Keta Sunset Sports stormed to their sixth consecutive victory. Reminding all rivals about their status as the team to beat, they recorded a 4-2 win over Wuo Gbεε.

On two separate occasions, Michael Sema finished off a wonderful team effort to give Sunset Sports a 2-0 lead. Wuo Gbεε's Samuel Adjei pulled one back before the end of the first period but Newlove Doe restored Sunset's margin to make it 3-1. Sema completed his hat trick with a simple tap in later on and James Tagoe's goal finally proved to be nothing more than a consolation for Wuo Gbεε.

Another match produced as many as 6 goals and a 4-2 score line. This happened between Havedzi Mighty Warriors and Layoca. Havedzi came out victorious to maintain the pressure on rivals Sunset as Layoca lost ground.

Before the game, both teams were level on points with only goal difference drawing a line. William Loyi put the Mighty Warriors in front but the lead did not last long; Thomas Okpoti equalized for Layoca.

However, Warriors were eager to impose their authority on the day. They took the lead again through Jerry Eglu only for Isaac Ofori to equalize from a spot kick. The Keta contestants upped their game and Sampson Kudoda scored two more goals. This time around, Layoca failed to reply as Mighty Warriors secured the second spot in the standings with the victory.

For Ada Assurance, Week 8 should be something to remember as they returned to winning ways with an impressive 6-3 win over Senya Bereku Sharks. Senya Sharks found it difficult to contain Assurance striker Joseph Larweh who scored the first goal and set up two more for Billy Kisseh and Dominic Semebia.

Christopher Nyankson pulled one back for Senya before Tottimeh Tetteh made it 4-1 to Assurance. Nyankson scored again to reduce his team's deficit but on-fire Joseph Larweh eventually completed his hat trick as the score board read 6-2. Christopher Nyankson added a goal to his tally to emulate Larweh.

Dansoman Beach Soccer Club leapt to fifth in the league standings with their second successive victory. Dansoman made light work of Tegbi Youth by beating them 3-0. Solomon Sackey scored the first for Dansoman before Ezekiel Botchway doubled the lead. Jacob Hughes then added the third with a stunning header.

Meanwhile, East Legon Sharks failed to present a team for the second consecutive week. Osu Dolphins were subsequently awarded three points and three goals. The result lifts Dolphins from the bottom of the league to the ninth position.
