Disabled sports delivered to Ghana her first gold and another bronze at the ongoing Maputo 2011 All Africa Games in Mozambique as officials declared that 'Ghana's time has just begun'.
Ace runner Ajara Moahmmed had little competition in the women's 1500m race in the wheelchair category, winning the race in good time
Anita Fordjour clinched bronze in the same race to underline Ghana's dominance in the race.
It was a sweet return to the Games for both Ajara and Anita who had been great ambassadors for Ghana at previous competitions.
Ajara was a gold medalist in 200m (wheelchair category) at Algiers 2007 when Algeria hosted the rest of the continent.
Anita, on her part, won silver in the same 200m race and a bronze in the 400m also in ALgeirs four years ago, but their separate triumphs has still brought them uncontrollable joy in the midst of the problem-riddled campaign that has overshadowed Team Ghana's efforts in Maputo 2011.
'I am overwhelmed with joy, that's all I can say. I feel great,' Ajara said after the race.
Anita who needed some medical attention after the race said they could do better with better preparations.
