Andre Ayew is hoping that the Black Stars can maintain their fine form in the qualifying campaign this Friday.

Ghana have won three of their games and drawn one ahead of the clash with Swaziland in the Group I qualifying for the 2012 African Nations Cup but only lead the standings with a better goal advantage to Sudan.

The attacking midfielder insists Ghana needs to produce a win as the qualifiers head into the final stages, with the upcoming match with the Swazis, the penultimate clash for Goran Stevanovic's side.

"We have to win and win well against Swaziland; it is as simple as that", Ayew said ahead of the game at the Accra Sports Stadium.

"We have to remember that there is a game to play against Sudan away from home so if we win here we go there with one foot at the Nations Cup, with an early advantage."

Andre was also quick to remind his colleagues that Ghana's last Nations Cup triumph came close to 30 years ago.

"No one remembers that we were in the finals of the 2010 Nations Cup and it hurts. We all know that we have to win it at some point but first we must qualify and to do that we must play with the same attitude we would use in the competition itself against Swaziland on Friday."

The kick off time for Friday's qualifier between Ghana and Swaziland has been confirmed for 18:00 GMT [6:00PM Local Time].
