
Golfers throughout the country are sharpening their strokes for the Fourth Annual Aboakyer Open Golf Championship scheduled for the Windy Bay Golf Course at Winneba in the Central Region on Sunday, May 4.
Mr Joseph Eshun-Famiyeh, acting captain of the Windy Bay Golf Club who announced this in Accra on Tuesday said the one-day 18-hole stableford competition, which is being sponsored by Ghana Breweries Limited, is expected to attract over 120 participants.
He said entry requirement for the male event is Handicap 18 while that of the Ladies is pegged at handicap 24.
Four prizes would go to the Men while two would be given to the Ladies.
Professor Michael Ben-George, President of the Ghana Golf Association would perform the ceremonial tee off.
Meanwhile, Achimota Golf Club would also host their May Monthly Medal competition on Saturday, May three.
