The first tranche of the sponsorship fee for the 2011/12 Glo Premier League has been paid ahead by the league's sponsors, Glo Mobile Ghana.
One-third of the fee for next season has been handed over to the Ghana Football Association by the telecommunication company.
The league's sponsor has also paid up outstanding fees owed for the past two seasons with the breakdown as follows:
- Payment for a fee representing one-third less of 20% of the total sponsorship package for the 2010/11 football season.
- Completion of payment at a discount for the sponsorship package for the 2009/10 football season.
Glo Mobile Ghana, a subsidiary of Globacom International begun its five-year partnership with Ghana football in December, 2008.
The deal will run until the end of the 2013/14 season.
