Queens to prepare for World Cup

The national women soccer team, the Black Queens, move into action to prepare for the September Women World Cup in the People's Republic of China.

Subsequently, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has released a list of 24 players to begin camping at the Winneba Sports College from Monday, March 10.

A statement issued by the association and signed by Mr Emmanuel Gyiman, Deputy General Secretary, said the players are to report first at the GFA secretariat at 11 a.m. on Monday, to be conveyed to the Sports College.

The players are Sulemana Memunatu Abiba, Nana Ama Gyamfuaa, Patience Sackey, Fati Mohammed and Lydia Ankrah (all Ghana Post); Genevieve Clottey, Sheila Okine, Patience Kusi, Gloria Oforiwaa, Hamdiya Abass, Memuna Darko, Mavis Danso, Aminatu Ibrahim and Gladys Enti (all from Ghana Telecom)

Others are Florence Oko, Mavis Djangmah, Patience Kpoki and Joyce Ohenewaa (La Ladies); Yaa Ayoe (Fabulous -Kumasi), Akua Anokyewaa (Ashanti Town Ladies- Kumasi).

The rest are Patricia Ofori (Great Mawuena), Fanola Adade (Ladies-Accra), Lucy Takyiwaa (Ghatel-Sunyani) and Helena Arthur Mensah (Butuah Ladies -Tarkoradi)
