At long last another season is here, and come Sunday the 16 clubs will begin another hot chase for the 2010/11 title which debutantes Aduana Stars surprisingly lifted last season.
Though it is too early to draw any conclusions, the pre-season form of some top clubs could provide some clues as the various clubs round off their preparations ahead of the big kick-off, money or no money.
As defending champions, it goes without saying that Aduana Stars will be under intense pressure to perform, especially after flopping badly in the recent GHALCA Top 4 tournament won hands down by Hearts of Oak.

In Kumasi, Asante Kotoko which is on record to have won most league honours also face a tough test against Kessben which dominated them last season.
Though under a new management, Kessben (which will soon metamorphose into Medeama), still has Bashir Hayford as the helsman, as well as some of the key players who made the team tick last season.
That is why Coach Ebo Mends and his men should brace for a tough assignment in this derby of a sort against a side bent on marking a mark in the elite division.
Champions Aduana will have their invincible home record to protect, at least, when they play host to RTU at Dormaa-Ahenkro, while Ebusua Dwarfs, which just returned from a tour of Egypt, battle debutantes Mighty Jets in yet another tight duel at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast.
The Berekum Golden City Park will see a repeat of the memorable clash between Chelsea and Ashantigold, while All Stars also welcome perennial underachievers Liberty Professionals to Wa.
Another debutante, B.A. Stars, will have to prove what they can offer in the league in their home game against tough customers Heart of Lions at the Sunyani Coronation Park, with New Edubiase and Arsenal squaring off in a thrilling encounter at Obuasi.
