Ghana international Isaac Vorsah could face a six-week spell on the sidelines after sustaining a knee injury in Hoffenheim's 0-2 win at Hertha Berlin on Saturday.
The 21-year-old was replaced in the 78th minute after early diagnosis by Hoffenheim physician Dr Pieter Beks suspected he had a medial collateral ligament tear in his knee.
He will undergo an MRI scan on Sunday to determine the seriousness of the injury.
Vorsah, a key player in Ghana's silver medal winning squad at the Africa Cup of Nations, will miss next week's friendly against Bosnia in Sarajevo.
