The Ghana Football Association has confirmed that the Black Stars will camp in Pretoria for the Fifa World Cup finals in South Africa.
The Ghana national team camped in Nelspruit for two weeks before leaving for the just ended Africa Cup of Nations.
But officials of the Ghana FA are reported to have dumped Mpumalanga as their World Cup base and switched base.
According to the Sowetan website, a source close to the Local Organising Committee said the Black Stars changed their minds after the final draw on 4 December.
"Their decision has absolutely nothing to do with the facilities in Mpumalanga. In fact, Ghana were impressed with the facilities there," the source is quoted as saying.
"I think it is more to do with the weather conditions, they needed an environment similar to where they will be playing their group stages matches."
The switch will help the five-time African champions- in Group D with Germany, Australia and Serbia-who will play their games in Pretoria, Johannesburg and Rustenburg.
