Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac is confident they will beat Angola in their Africa Cup of Nations quarter final clash because of his knowledge of the Palancas Negras.

The Black Stars sweated to reach the last eight of the tournament on Tuesday thanks to a first half strike from youngster Andre Ayew which secured Group B's second place.

Victory means the Black Stars will play the host nation on Sunday at the feared 11 November Stadium in Luanda.

But after playing Angola to a 0-0 in a friendly in November in Luanda, Ghana's Serbian coach fancies the chances of the Black Stars.

"We played a friendly against Angola two months ago (0-0 draw), we know them well," Rajevac said.

Group B winner Ivory Coast will stay in Cabinda for its quarterfinal against fellow World Cup qualifier Algeria.

Ghana finished with three points after two games, one behind Ivory Coast.

Burkina Faso finished with one point.
Togo withdrew from the tournament after an armed attack on the team bus killed two members of its delegation.
