Ghana will play hosts Angola in the quarter finals of the Africa Cup of Nations in Luanda on Sunday.

The Black Stars secured their place in the last eight of the tournament thanks to a 1-0 win over Burkina Faso.

Andre Ayew scored the only goal of the game for Ghana to finish second in Group B of the tournament.

The Black Stars' severely depleted squad managed the win despite the absence of NINE key players.

Three players at the tournament were ruled out of the matches because of injuries.

Michael Essien is out while Anthony Annan is still struggling in a hamstring with malaria hitting Eric Addo.

This is on top of the absence of captain Stephen Appiah, John Mensah, John Pantsil and striker Prince Tagoe.

Sulley Muntari was axed because of disciplinary problems.

Several new players have filled in excellently as Isaac Vorsah, Lee Addy and Agyemang Badu have impressed in their absence.
