Tema, Jan. 7, GNA - This year's Tema Country Golf Club Lady Captain's Prize competition would be played at Tema on Sunday, January 17.
The competition which is open to amateur golfers throughout the country is being sponsored by Mrs Victoria Adjei, Lady Captain of the Club.
Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, General Manager of the Club who disclosed this to the GNA Sports at Tema on Thursday, said about 100 golfers would be battling each other for the prestigious Prize.
He said the one-day 18-Hole Stable-ford competition would be played in accordance with the rules of the World's Golf governing body and the local rules of the Tema Country Golf Club.
Golfers expected to participate in the competition would include Alex Fiagomey, William Asiedu Yeboah, Felix Owusu-Adjapong and Paul Owusu-Baah.
'Lady Scientific' Florence Etwi-Barimah would battle other crack golfers including Adelaide Owusu-Adjapong, Esi Cobbina, Grace Afriyie and Margaret Owusu-Baah, all of the Tema Country Golf Club.
Meanwhile the Achimota Golf Club's 75th Anniversary Raffle Draw would be held at the Achimota Golf Club on Saturday, January 9.
Mr Kwabena Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Club who announced this in Accra said officials of the Gaming Commission of Ghana would conduct the draw.
