Asante Kotoko have officially written an apology letter to the country's national security after their goalkpeer Soulama Abdoulaye was involved in a scuffle with its employee in a league match.

The Kotoko captain was seen hitting the securiy official after Kotoko's loss to their arch rivals at the Ohene Djan stadium last Sunday.

The club earlier stated they will resist any attempt by the security operatives to arrest the goalkeeper but have now retracted and rendered an unqualfied apology for the conduct of the Burkinabe import.

"We have apologised to the national security to put to rest all the noise about what happened on Sunday," Kotoko communication director, Jarvis Peprah told Ghanasoccernet.com

"What happened was an isolated case because Soulama is not a violent person and since he has shown remorse after the incident it is only wise that we send the apology letter to them.''

Meawnwhile the Ghana Football Association has referred the conduct of the goalkeeper and midfielder Jordan Opoku to the disciplinary committee of the FA for punitive action to be taken against them for their unruly behaviour.
