Tiger Holed Up
TIGER WOODS and his wife are holed up in their Florida mansion as they undergo intense marriage counseling, according to reports.
As the scandal involving Woods' alleged extramarital affairs continues to develop, the Chicago Sun-Times reports that Woods, 33, and Nordegren, 29, are having marriage counseling sessions – several times a day – in the privacy of their Windemere, Fla., mansion.
Both of their mothers have been in contact, the paper reports, to help the couple save their marriage, and Tiger's mom, Kultida Woods, is reportedly grateful that her son's two children – Sam Alexis, 2, and Charlie Axel, born in February – are too young to realize what is going on. "This story will be ancient history by the time they are old enough to learn about it", a source told the Sun-Times.
Meanwhile, according to the Daily Beast.com, Nordegren is negotiating an immediate $5 million payout from her husband and revising her pre-nup, reported at $20 million at the time of their 2004 marriage, to give her as much as $55 million if she stays with her husband for two more years.
And don't worry about the pair constantly running into one another at home in the gated community with a private golf course near Orlando: The 6,692 sq. ft., three-level house has 8 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, and is valued at $2.648 million.
Woods hasn't been seen leaving the house since his one-car accident on Nov. 27. His wife, Nordegren, wearing sunglasses, was spotted driving away last Saturday to an undisclosed location, but returned home shortly after.
Meanwhile it has been reported that Rachel Uchitel, the Manhattan nightclub hostess linked to Tiger, was none too happy when she first heard about other women whom the golfer may have been seeing.
According to a friend, "Rachel was mad at Tiger when she found out about the other girls and did not speak to him for three days, but he texted her... She is telling friends that he doesn't blame her for this all getting out".
Angry or not, Uchitel wasn't naïve about dating a celebrity. "She was going out with other guys while she was with Tiger", says the source. "There wasn't a huge loyalty with it”.
However, adds the source, "Rachel has strong feelings for Tiger. She was very into him – much more than other famous guys she was into. She started out for sport and then they clicked".
While Uchitel has publicly denied an affair with Woods, that wasn't the case in private. "She went from initially not denying it vehemently to denying it", says the source. "At first she was nonchalant about it. She was running around telling everyone... Everyone who knows her knows about this".
Text messages between Tiger and some of his lovers are making the media rounds. "Hey, sexy, I can't come out this week. Something came up family wise", Woods wrote. "I hope everything is fine", responded Grubbs, who has since issued an apology to Nordegren. "l would have liked to see you".
"We will make this happen", Woods said. "See you 8pm on Sunday in Newport", he continued.
He then added: "Don't text me back till tomorrow morning. I have to [sic] many people around me right now".
Woods recently apologized for what he termed his "sins", but the controversy around the athlete with a once squeaky-clean image has only grown as more and more reported mistresses come out of the woodwork. The future of his marriage and lucrative endorsements are now up in the air, and several adverts featuring the sports star have been pulled off television screens.
Meanwhile, it seems Tiger Woods's roster of rumored mistresses could practically fill a clubhouse.
In fact, publications like the New York Post have noted that if the reports are true, Woods may be linked with as many as nine women.
So what does his reported scorecard look like so far?
Rachel Uchitel: So far, the New York club hostess has been the most notable, and the first to make news, but she was apparently not the first. She has repeatedly denied an affair, but nevertheless hired a high-profile celebrity lawyer and called for a press conference in which it was believed was going to fess up to a relationship. She nixed the press conference at the last minute.
Jaimee Grubbs: The 24-year-old San Diego cocktail waitress and former Tool Academy participant says that she and Woods have slept together some 20 times, and that she has voicemails from him to prove it.
Kalika Moquin: The Las Vegas nightclub marketing manager, 27, has refused to comment on allegations that she and the athlete met up for sex a number of times when he traveled to Las Vegas, according to Life & class.
Jamie Junger: The 26-year-old reportedly met Woods at a party in Las Vegas while she was doing promotional work for the Bellagio hotel and casino. She told Britain's Sunday Mirror that they carried on an affair for 18 months.
Mindy Lawton: A waitress at a Perkins restaurant near Woods's Florida home, the 33-year-old and Woods were reportedly nearly exposed in 2007, leading Woods to abruptly break off the relationship. Their affair featured wild sex in Woods's home while his wife was away, according to the U.K.'s News of the World.
Cori Rist: Woods allegedly met the 31-year-old blonde at the Manhattan club Butter last year, but the relationship only lasted a few months, according to the New York Daily News. She has refused to comment.
Holly Sampson: A porn star with titles like Cheating Housewives 6 and OMG, Stop Tickling Me to her name, she has so far neither refuted nor confirmed rumors that she's had a relationship with the golfer, according to Britain's Sun tabloid.
British TV Presenter: The Sun also claims that Woods had a fling with an unidentified British television hostess who is now married but was single during their relationship.
Anonymous Florida Cougar: Another Sun allegation, this one was an unidentified wealthy older woman with whom he supposedly trysted in his office. They reportedly met at the Blue Martini bar in Orlando, a location mentioned in accounts of his other alleged affairs.
(Meanwhile, TMZ.com has reported that the Orlando nightclub 23 has nicknamed a private VIP area "The Tiger's Room" for him because he's such a frequent guest.)
Two Las Vegas Party Girls and a 'Trailer Trash' Orlando Neighbor: More Sun claims with scant details, but they may just be referring to previously alleged affairs.
Woods' camp has not commented specifically on any of the alleged women, and has asked for privacy as the golfer and his family get through the unfolding problems.
Sarah Palin
