Inkoom gets starting role
Milovan Rajevc has picked Samuel Inkoom for the left-back role in this evening's final 2010 joint Nations Cup/World Cup qualifier against Mali at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The FC Basel player was handed a similar task against Benin at the same venue in the opening qualifiers on 23 March.
Inkoom becomes the only Black Satellites player named in the first XI with colleagues Dede Ayew, Emamanuel Agyeman Badu, Daniel Adjei and Dominic Adyiah starting from the bench.
It was widely speculated that Chelsea of Bechem Lee Arday will step in for Harrison Afful who failed to impress in last month's qualifier against Benin.
Nice defender Jonathan Quartey has stepped in for the injured John Mensah Rajevac has stuck to old guards including Goalkeeper Richard Kingson, Stephen Appiah, Michael Essien, Mathew Amoah and Sulley Muntari.
Kwadwo Asamoah and Isaac Vorsah will monitor proceedings from the bench.
