Ghana youth international Jonathan Mensah gave his South African PSL side Free State Stars a late win over AmaZulu on Wednesday night in an Absa Premiership match played at Goble Park.
Mensah got the winner at the death of the game in a 1-0 win to hand Free State Stars their second league win in 14 matches.
Mpho Makola produced a pin-point out-swinging corner-kick to find Jonathan Mensah unmarked inside the six yard box.
Mensah made no mistake with a powerful header into the back of the net and helped them to move three points above the drop in 12th position.
Free State Stars host Kaizer Chiefs, which drew 3-3 with Black Aces, on Saturday.
