Nigeria Under-20 coach has sparked extreme anger in neighbouring Ghana after backing Brazil to beat the Black Satellites in today's final of the U-20 World Cup in Egypt.
Siasia was in charge of Nigeria's miserable U-20 team that was booted out in the second round of the tournament after unimpressive outings.
Even though he is under attack at home for the Flying Eagles' depressing display at the tournament in Egypt, he has found the time to make the grubby remark about Ghana.
Ghana is the only African team that reached the last eight of the tournament and the entire continent has thrown its weight behind the Satellites to give Africa its first U-20 World Cup trophy.
Yet Siasia, who received lots of backing from Ghanaian legends in his past endeavours, claims the Brazilians are technically and tactically better.
"The match between Ghana and Brazil would be a difficult game. Personally, I will give it to Brazil to win the trophy," said Siasia, whose team was rated below-par at the tournament in Egypt.
Knowing that his remarks could spark anger across Africa particularly in Ghana, the cunning Nigerian coach doused his comments by claims that he wants the Black Satellites to win.
"My heart goes to Ghana," said Siasia, who has been described as a 'snake' by Ghana football fans.
"I want Ghana to win because they are the only remaining Africa representative in the tournament. I have told them to make Africa proud by beating Brazil."
His comments have not gone down very well across Africa with most Ghanaian soccer fans saying the Nigerian is 'jealous' of the Black Satellites feat at the tournament.
"Siasia is jealous of Ghana, he is jealous of our successes at this tournament," Aziz Haruna, the chairman of the Ghana supporters group in Egypt told Ghanasoccernet.
"When the whole of Africa is backing Ghana to win to salvage the image of the continent he is rather trying to discourage our players.
"Siasia should make no mistake - the boys will win the tournament for Africa and put him to shame permanently. He is a snake."
Siasia's team crashed out at the last 16 stage of the tournament at the hands of Germany.
